Congratulations to Taryn Johns and Johannah (Joey) Whittle for achieving their 1st Dan Bo Black Belts! Both students have trained in Taekwondo since the Toowoomba Sun Bae dojang opened its doors in January 2017.
The grading was a great performance from both Taryn and Joey with individual kicking displays, poomsae (patterns), then some intense sparring against the Brisbane black belt students and Instructors, and then board breaking. Finally a chance to demonstrate their knowledge of the art with terminology, and questions from Gwanjangnim.
Congratulations to all colour belt students too! It was a great performance from everyone.
I am very pleased to see how far both students have come and look forward to seeing them achieve black belts in Hapkido and Kumdo too!
