Newmarket grading march 2025
This year, our taekwondo grading from Newmarket students was a success in terms of results and number of participation. 50% students including the Black Belt and Red III students graded this time. Of the 29 students who graded, 14 achieved Honours for their grading result. This is very impressive especially when it is harder for the high rank Blue and Red Belt students. One student, Sonam double graded to Blue II showing a great poomsae and kicking performance.

Black Belt Grading

Instructor Steph did her Demo test and passed. She will be grading for 3 Dan in next grading in July. Her double board break with a 360 back kick was effortless. Almost flawless! It has been 8 years since she last graded. We are so proud of our Sun Bae Newmarket instructor for showing a great performance.
Perseverance patch
One of the five tenets of Taekwondo is perseverance. We want to encourage all students to embrace this value not just in taekwondo but also in their daily lives. To persevere and not give up when faced with challenges will make one stronger and more resilient.
This perseverance patch is available for purchase ($2) from Master Shirly. It can be ironed on the uniform sleeve as a reminder for students.
