Awards Night The Gap 2020

Last week we celebrated our achievements in 2020 at The Gap, with a BBQ and Silent Movies (silent no longer, check out our videos on the right). There was plenty to celebrate, some of the highlights of 2020 include:

The Gap maintained their presence in the Sun Bae Annual Competition's top three, coming 3rd with 4 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
Adam Welch graded to Black Belt in Taekwondo (you can read more here),
In-house self-defense and one-step competitions.

Students who receive this award have shown an increased dedication towards their Club and Instructor. As such they have greatly improved their physical Taekwondo & Hapkido technical skill as well as their attitude and inner strength. This award is nominated by the Club Instructor. Students who receive this award have shown dedication towards Sun Bae, their Local Club and Instructor. This award takes into account the student participation at gradings, club events (eg Club Championship), demonstrations and class attendance. It also takes into account Taekwondo & Hapkido skill demonstrated by them over the year. Further, a student must show correct Martial Art values by portraying humility, politeness, courtesy and courage. The Sun Bae award winners for the Gap in 2020 are:
