Thank you to all instructors, black belts, parents and students of Sun Bae who worked to bring us such a great event. Special thank you to everyone for helping to pack up and restore the hall at the event's conclusion.

The hosts of this year's Awards include Sun Bae centres Kenmore (Master Shirly), Mt Gravatt (Master Ben), Middle Park (Instructor Brendan), Newmarket (Master Shirly) and The Gap (Instructor Nicole & Master Ben). Our patron sponsor for the event and special guest is our grandmaster and founder of the school, Master Bradley Tatnell (8 Dan Taekwondo Kukkiwon & 1st Class Kukkiwon Examiner).
EVENT REPORT & RESULTS
A rainy day! What better activity to do when you need to be inside! Upon arrival, parents and students took the opportunity to socialise and enjoy in the sausage sizzle arranged by Master Ben and the drinks arranged by Master Shirly. We have few chances for all the Brisbane Sun Bae centres to come together, so today seemed somewhat special. With a big screen and exciting footage to watch, we were only missing the popcorn. Than you to Instructor Nicole who arranged our media centre and to Instructor Brendan who made sure the right number of medals and trophies were available.
After the exciting introduction video — Kukkiwon Demo Team performing at Kukkiwon —Grandmaster Bradley officially commenced the ceremony. We thank him for incite not to mention his ongoing tireless efforts throughout the many decades to keep the Korean martial arts alive. Grandmaster Bradley is a master instructor in all three Korean arts (Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo) and teaches all the instructors personally. We only got to see half of the Kukkiwon Demo Team performance. But you can find the full video available (see below).
Our Master of Ceremony, Master Shirly, kept the award presentations moving along. The event commenced at 5:45 pm and concluded at 7:15 pm. Many awards were presented personally by the Instructors leading up to the finale — Student of the Year. All awards this year were well contested, especially with our Student of the Year. Congratulations to all students who were nominated. A link for this year's Awards Results as well as last year's event are below:

MESSAGE FROM GRANDMASTER BRADLEY
It was a great joy today to come together as one in Brisbane and to be able to talk to as many of you as possible. For the parents, it is my great hope that our training enables your children to also achieve outside the training hall in all their other endeavours, especially homework. Nothing is more important than a healthy body and a healthy mind. To the Instructors of Sun Bae, you have my admiration and respect — your dedication and devotion is a great example to all who train under you. I congratulate all the students of Sun Bae, striving to do your best and enjoying a great year of martial arts in Taekwondo, Hapkido and some in Kumdo....
